I am looking for a CTO and partner for Zyked - a start-up that aims to make sports and exercising more fun by adding gameplay and community features. The first Zyked product is an innovative internet- and mobile service currently in Alpha testing: check out the short movie at www.zyked.com.
As CTO you will define, design and lead the development of Zyked's web and mobile services. You will also help in recruiting and building the company. As the 2nd man/woman on board, wou will play an integral role in the company's management team.
Skills required:
- Can do hands-on coding, but also set visions and lead bigger development teams.
- Technology: you are probably able to quickly learn new any new technology, but experience of web application development (SQL, Java, Ruby on Rails, ASP, AJAX, JavaScript, Flash) and mobile development (J2ME, Brew, iPhone, Android...) is a strong plus.
- Be able to translate vague user needs and requirements, into a solid system architecture.
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to the turbulent enviroment of a start-up.
Compensation will initially be in just equity, no salary. The work can be combined with another half/full time job or studies, but will eventually grow to a full time employment.
